About Wallpaper Tally
Wallpaper Tally is a free planning tool for comparing wallpaper quantities and costs before you buy. It estimates whole vertical strips, trimming and straight-match pattern repeats, then compares two wallpaper options using the prices and roll dimensions you enter.
What it supports
- One or more rectangular walls, measured in feet and inches or in metric.
- Plain or random-match wallpaper, and straight-match wallpaper with a vertical pattern repeat.
- A trimming allowance added to each strip.
- Whole rolls only, priced per roll, with a side-by-side cost comparison of two options.
Limits of the estimate
- Results are conservative estimates, not ordering guarantees. Check quantities with your supplier before you buy.
- Every strip uses the tallest wall height, which may overestimate when wall heights differ.
- Half-drop patterns, sloped or angled walls, and door or window deductions are not supported.
- Straight-match results assume each roll begins at a suitable pattern position; initial alignment may need more material.
- An optional spare roll for future repairs is not included.
